Planet Nomad

We didn’t mean to become nomads ourselves but things seem to be working out that way. We’re an American family who lived nearly 6 years in Nouakchott, Mauritania, located where the sands of the Sahara meet the waters of the Atlantic. Along the way we spent a year in the French Alps, and in 2008 we moved to Morocco by way of Oregon. This blog chronicles the various aspects of our lives, from adjusting again to North Africa (easier said than done) to the kids all going to a French junior high school. I am wife to Donn and mother to Elliot, 14, and boy-girl twins Abel and Ilsa, 12.
